Is it true that the rotors rub the rotor housings if they are not aligned properly? I used the Bruce Turrentine video in my rebuild and he just says to put the front rotor at 12 o-clock and the rear at 6 o-clock. My rotors clear the housings just fine so I think mine are correct.
Is there any other way to verify the alignment? |
If you can fit the rotor housing over it, then it's aligned properly.
The tooth pitch is coarse enough that there's only one way the rotor can fit in there. Being even one tooth off will be incredibly obvious, even before you try to put the rotor housing on. |
yup... damned near idiot-proof. Although i'm sure someone has managed to do it before.

Thanks for the info. I knew it must work that way. In the video, Turrentine just slaps the rotors in there. I know he is a good engine builder, but not so good he wouldn't have to measure https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
