I was wondering, what is the amount of CO when i would have a warmed up 1/2 bridged FD with airpump and main cat.

Stock turbo's non-seq, open intake and RB dual tip catback, searched the forum but couldn't find anything...

Wondering what the CO is on my FD with a 1/2 bridge with stock airpump or with a big electrical airpump.

Hope someone knows some values...

depends.... stock ports it should be 0



if you've swapped the rotor housings front and rear it'll be high, cause the air pump is blocked off.



dunno about half bridge, depends on what the ecu does about the ports

Airpump feeds the cat directly (used the pipe that runs from the cat to the engine), that works very well as i got 0 CO with non-seq, stock ports and all emissions removed (all the block off plates in place).



Hope someone measured the CO with a 1/2 bridge @ idle and can post the results here...

don't use a cat with a half bridge. it'll melt if your engine is tuned properly.

i think the guy mean how to pass emission inspection with a half bridge.



I'm not sure, but i think it should be possible with temporarily mounting the cat, putting the airpump directly on it and fiddle with the piggybag.



anyone some 0.02$ on this?

i doubt you'd ever get the hc's in check enough to pass emissions testing.

maybe, we will see but i just want to know the CO numbers, when CO is good for me i'll measure all the emissions.

Just to put in my 2 cents.You need to block off the primary ports to pass.The overlap,no matter how well its tuned will not pass the sniffer at idle,it will always allow unburned fuel to escape out the exhaust at low rpms.The easiest way to do this is,custom cut an upper intake gasket without cuting the hole for the primary ports.It runs like crap,turn your boost way down(I just disconnect the wastegate acctuator hose)it will drop boost to about 8 lbs and tune for that setup.It is best to tune with a 5 gas analizer (just happen to have an old im machine in my shop just for these situations)to adjust co and hydrocarbon output>If you tune too lean your co goes through the roof,so you need to tune a balance.The limits may vary state to state,but up here we can have up to 2.0% co with 1000 ppm hydrocarbons.I tune allot of cars to pass im,it takes some work but for most of my customers,I tell them if we can pass visually I can take care of the rest.

If you disconnect the wastegate actuator hose the boost wont drop to 8 pounds it will go up and up and up and up until HOPEFULLY your ecu cuts fuel/spark...



If the ecu doesnt and nothign else happens to keep the turbo from spinning faster and faster you will blow your engine and turbo to bits...
