Well then I guess you prefer to spend unnecessary amounts of money to press them out? I used the front e-shaft pulley boss as my press tool to remove mine at a local machine shop. It was an absolute perfect fit. It's funny how Mazda made special expensive tools to use when certain tools already exist with-in the engine. LOL!

So what do you use for installation?

Probably the same piece, and ends up adding some irregular crush to the bearing.....

Side note, did you guys see the article in race car engineering showing how rod bearings crush in the centerline from rod/piston power thrust! Wow......

Same piece was used. No damage to the bearing was done. You guys guys feel free to experiment on your own with some damaged rotors so you can see for yourself.

I used that same e-shaft pulley boss technique two summers ago when I did mine too. However, I didn't use any loctite. Doesn't seem to be a huge issues so far

I got a local shop to machine some for me, worked well and was cheaper than the Mazda tools.

Hey guys,

Check out my other post for a bearing tool that keeps the bearing from going in crooked or collapsing the bearing.
