Ok I know all this info is allready available all over the inderweb, but here goes:
I have scanned the Factory Competetion Preparation And Service Manual(pfeew) into .pdf format and upped it to my site... Right click - Save as http://www.wankelkim.net/rx7/comp.manual.pdf also mirrored here.... http://209.15.20.37/comp.manual.pdf -Kim |

Decided to setup two mirrors, one on my anonymous FTP (in case you cant download via HTTP, HTTP is faster BTW) and one in my standard server:
FTP: ftp://209.15.20.37/rx7/comp.manual.pdf HTTP: http://209.15.20.37/comp.manual.pdf Server is normally very fast, and i lost registration of my domain name so i have to do it via IP https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png. enjoy. BTW perhaps some mods can send these links into the original post so people know of the mirrors. kevin. |
Bump, anyone else carrying this file??? All mirrors are dead now

I have it as a 4.8 meg PDF. I can send it over AOL, but it bombs out after about 2/3 of the upload to Nopistons. Any ideas on how to get it there? If anyone has a limit of say 5 meg per transmission I can send it to you, and you can post it to Nopistons. Lynn E. Hanover |

Hanover Can you upload it here in the forums as an attachment? Should easily be able to, just add it like an image. I can throw it into the FTP section as well. |

Lynn E. Hanover The Mazda Competition manual is quite old. I supports a sort of street rod version of a road racing for RX-3. It may have been poorly interpreted from Japanese. However some of the information can be applied to 13B and Renesis engines. The oil pan baffle is suspect because the big oil drainback hole is on one side of the pan. So it would work fine in left turns but not right turns. A 4" by 4" hole centered under the center iron works just fine for road racing. There are sentences missing. Some pictures lack clearity. The Watts link V/S the Panard rod for example. But it is good enough to develope a basis of understanding with this and other sources of information. Lynn E. Hanover |
yeah its what my build is based on. basically its an install guide to the competition parts they offered in 1979-80.
it is neat to see that the competition stuff in 1980 becomes stock by the time the FD rolls out... |
