I have an 86 N/A FC (SE i think) with only few mods. NGK wires and plugs, an ACT 4-puck clutch, and coilovers. I know there is alot more that i need to do in order to get fast....but as far as drifting...? What kind of mods should i invest in from this point on? What can I do so far with the little mods that i have? Are there 'free mods' that I can do...? Im newer to imports in general, especially rotaries. I do however know how to drive a RWD car, as all of my cars before this have been camaros with nothing smaller than a 427. Any advvice or tips on drifting, as well as what kind of drifting you suggest for the 'street' Thanks all...I hope i can fit into the rotary community.

You missed the humor entirely.

The most important thing about drift is to practice.......no matter what mods the car has.......the only mod that I would say is a Requirement is a Diff. Other than that you will not recognize what mods you need or how they benefit you until you can get seat time.

Try to do it in the rain first. In the wet you don't have to go as fast and need as much torque. Also every thing happens slower so it is easier to control and figure out what the car's response to your input. Start with power over exiting the corner, that is usually the most controlable over steering situation. If you want to get good you will have to pay dues in wheels, axles, and may be cars. My friends and I have lost it plenty times and every one agrees you have to taco some parts before you grasp the idea of drifting.

Unless you practice with plenty of room. Haven't broken anything yet due to drifting.
