For those of u interested in getting some track time..
Mazdadrivers are offering a two day track session this spring.. |
so is this actually MADS? or is that at another time. why only one course?
|
It is MADS I believe. I drov ethe north coarse and it is killer.
I highly recommend that you attend if at all possible. |
mazda sportscar club of america held MADS...
its actually no longer referred to as MADS as its being coordinated through mazdadrivers... one course is plenty for an instruction session.. |
I did realize that it is no longer called MADS, old habits die hard.
Either way it is a blast. |
yeah its gonna be fun i gotta register!
|
The North Course, in itself, is over 2 miles long; bigger then some full-length road courses. I'd like to go but I'll see what happens.

if i go my FD is going..... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i went to that with ihor is september, talk about a long ass drive, it was fun nonetheless, including the hotel
|
hopefully i can have my turbo II running by then
|
I've been an instructor with MCSW/Mazda Drivers for their VIR events, towing all the way from Houston just to do them. Although I instruct all over the country, you will not find a better or more fun event than the MDA events. Make it a point to attend either the spring event on the North course or the September event on the full course. I'll be at the fall event along with a few of my Houston instructor friends again.
|
i will hopefully be going both dates. hope to meet you there !!!!!
there is a local instructor the next town over in NJ.... i forget his name though dammit |
Anyone else going in Sept.?
I may not have the car ready for the spring event, but hope to be at the Sept full course event :bigthumg: |
I will be iin the fall event, The one in the spring I am gonna miss 'cause my troubles with the DMV. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif

...because there is nothing worse than sitting by the track while everyone else is driving on the track. If you drive down with someone, make sure you have a ride on the track as well. |

2fast7s' said he might ride down with me. if he does. i'll let him take my car for a spin on the track https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
Never let another driver drive your car on a track. ...Unless your hand strength is greater than his. It's very tough to pry loose the fingers from the steering wheel after a taste of wide open throttle driving/braking/cornering on a road course, especially the VIR |
whatever Ed i give up LOL
|
vosko, look me up in September. I usually pit right in the middle of the pits along the pt entrance main road and have a big white awning. Here's a shot from last August at another event we went up for...
http://www.bradbarber.com/VIRReunion/pages...nIDIOTpits.html I towed to VIR two times in 5 weeks.. Doh! Here's my car in case you don't remember... http://www.bradbarber.com/BBnew2DD.jpg |
