Hi,

I've recently got into drifting with my FD, and I definitely want to start learning how to do it. I'm afraid to try it on the streets due to the potential danger I could put myself, my car, and others into. I was just wondering if any of you experienced drifters had any advice for the likes of me:

What is the easiest drift to perform/learn (hoping it doesn't involve the e-brake https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR?

Should I practice drifting at a track before I try it on the streets?

Any tips for a drift newbie?

Thank you for the help in advance!

finding a trck to drift at is gonna be REALLY hard ... maybe a local autox or parking lot drift show? I say streets, just make sure NO one is around, and also let it be known that drifting is a reckless driving (criminal offense .. this isnt a traffic ticket) ... be careful, dont use the ebrake when you dont have to. And chances are you will crash into something. Good luck.

Well... how did you learn to drift? Did you crash into things when you first started?

I really don't want to try it if I'm going to be risking things, specially my FD :(

So what is the easiest drift around corners anyway?

drifting=damage, it is the most abusive motor sport you can do, if your afraid to damage your fd the stop trying to be trendy by jumping on the drifting bandwaggon, or you can get out there and do it. if you crash, so what you rebuild and do it al over again.

You don't wanna learn to drift in your FD, you wanna buy a shitty RWD car with a strong engine and learn to drift in that.

That way you won't be spewin when/if you prang. Once your confident in your abilities, slowly get accoustemed to the handling of the FD is similar situations.

Buy a ghetto 240 or AE86 and thrash it. Something that won't break your heart when it goes up in flames.
