Cool.. Let me get this one started.. ihave a vert .. How the **** do I drift the bitch..? Seriously.. Any recommendations on suspension set-ups?

FC3Slider 09-11-2003 02:06 PM

well first thing you need is a roll bar. if you do any mountain stuff you might die. you also need it because you chassis is very weak :(. look into getting strut bars, and sway bars as well. strut bars before the coil-overs.

as for the coil-overs, i recomend JIC FLT-A2s, TEIN HEs, and HKS. they are a bit pricey, but never settle for anything less awesome

If Repu is doing any mountain drifting, he might just want to get a parachute. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

FC3Slider 09-11-2003 02:16 PM

well, i knew it was coming... i am going to list teh big 5 but there are alot more. i just dont want to write tem all right now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

brake drift- also known as trail braking, brake into the corner constantly, then when you get the the apex let off and re apply the brake wiht more force.

Feint Motion-also known as the scandinavian flick, lets say that the next corner is a right hand corner. ster the car left to load the suspension, and then flick it to the right. it is kind of like a pendulum motion.

side drift - side brake drift, or e-brake, use it to lock up the rear tyres and then modulate out. oh MAKE SURE THE CLUTCH IS IN WHEN YOU PULL THE E-BRAKE, IF YOU DONT YOUR REAR AXLES WILL GO BOOM

clutch kick- during the turn fully engage and unengage the clutch really quickly. note- bad for the clutch, but it gets you sideways very easily

shift lock- if the corner is a 2nd gear corner, enter in 3rd downhift into second, but dont release the clutch until you are at teh apex.

i love it. Theres nothing more fun than losing and controlling traction at the same time. Winning races, having a fast quarter mile, and having a bling bling car. Nothing can compare to looking at the side of the road while in a corner. Mad props nemesis and anybody else who contributes to the drift section of this site. I loves no-pistons when i first got on, but now im just simply infatuated!!!! Good looking out yall!! keep it up!!!
