Registration is now open for the HPDE/Race groups at Summit Point for November 1st and 2nd. Register through www.nasaproracing.com, and if you aren't already a member, you'll have to join NASA, but it's only $35. Hope to see some of you there, I'll be in a black JDM-front end Integra Type R.

How are the lapping sessions set up, ect.

It should be 3 sessions of 30 minutes per day, in-car instructor depending on your run group. I find that to be enough for me, by the end of the second day, I'm beat. Each groups sessions are nicely spread out as well, a good amount of time in between each so you can fiddle with settings/eat/watch the race groups. I'm not sure what race groups will be there, but I found the Legends to be simply awesome to watch, especially between T4-T7. One thing to make sure of, fill up in Charlestown before you actually get to the track, it's maybe a 10-15 minute drive from the track to the nearest gas station. The track does supply gas, but at ludicrous prices of course.



As far as rules on track, unless you're in advanced group, no passing in the corners, passing on the straights with a point. It'll most likely start out pretty crowded, with trains all over the place, but after the first session or so people space out more. Let's hope for not too many mustangs/camaros/corvettes, they're usually slow in the corners but fast on the straights, so it's difficult to pass them. To make matters worse, they usually have attitudes, and even when they should let you by (as in you're riding their ass from T1-T9), they just slam on the gas down the main straight. You all shouldn't have as much of a problem with them though, seeing as you have...oh, at least 75 more whp than me, but just a heads up.

Any update Freeman? Looks like I might be stuck in HPDE1 for one more weekend (blast!), so I most likely won't be driving on track with you. It'll be good to see a nice 7 tearin' it up out there though.

Did you go to the NASA Hyperfest two years ago at Summit with your Acura? If so I have some footage from the in-car.

I did actually, but drove a '95 VW GTI 2.0 liter. Thanks for trying though. What exactly is your car by the way, an MG Midget with a 13B or something? Looks pretty wild from the little avatar pick, and if you were running down a Type R, that's definitely not a stock Midget...

Yep, MG Midget with a street ported 13B. 61sec lap times on the Jeff. cir. at summit the 1st time out. 2nd pic is from the event and shows how the car looked at the time. I only ran on Sunday.

That is one bad-ass hybrid, and I bet with that particular engine you have an excellent weight distribution.
