So i am new to the forum and rotoaries. I am picking up a track car on friday. it is gutted interior except dash. 1988 GXL. I need to set this up to drift cheap for now so i can learn. what are the things i need that will get me in the right direction? I figure lowered and a diff. but anything else?

i started almost the same way, and im still a budget drifter/builder get coilovers and a welded diff then get used to your car drifting and control. then if your goin to keep it na for a wile get either tie rod spacers, or something to help with steering angle becuase fc's fail with stock steering angle. thats how you pretty much get started. if you cant afford coilovers right away, id do a good strut/spring combo. i started with kyb agx's with tein s tech springs and it worked great for me. but thats just what i did, i hope it helped

this helps alot. thata where i will start. i am going to look at a rx4 tomorrow. will see how bad it is needs alot of work. having problems finding out the parts availability on it.
