this is somewhat theoretical, but lets just say i wanted to go drag racing with my fc. i'm of two minds when it comes to suspension setup, i'm not sure which would work better, or maybe it doesnt matter. car is 100% stock right now

1. "tradiational" setup, soft all the way around, you let it squat, and transfer all the weight to the rear. pretty much how it is right now.

2. since the rear suspension adds negative camber as it squats, i'm thinking a stiffer setup, or limiting the rear travel might help, as you'd want to plant the tires with 0 camber, and the stock suspension might be around -3. alternatives might be to add some positive camber with a camber link.

thoughts? anyone played with this?

on my last fc, i had JIC Magic coilovers, set up almost as stiff as possible, and it did good, so im doing the same on my 91 project, but im going to try it a little softer.

i drag raced with stock suspension on my fc and with eibach springs and tokico shocks. the tokico shock/eibach after messing with them got me better 60 ft times.... 1.80 on street tires!

Won't that extra positive camber make the handling a little scary at the other end of the track?

Maybe the government could mandate you some stability control.
