Were you guys there filming on sunday?
I believe I was gridded next to RX-midget, or it was some other guy with a rotary-powered MG https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
No I was out of town and couldn't be there. I thought the rikki bros were going to handle it. I guess they didn't

I believe I was gridded next to RX-midget, or it was some other guy with a rotary-powered MG https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png It was only my 2nd auto-x at Fed-Ex and it was OK. I'm out of practice.... Best time of 50.8xxxs results I gave George Samuels (white 20B FC) two rides in the passenger seat and had a good time after the pre-run jitters went away (I always get them...). |
Yeah that was me, thanks again for those pliers, gained a second after i got that thing tightened up.
My best run was a 51.470, second event on R-compounds, so it's going to take some getting used too. but yeah i had a chance to see you run in heat 5 when i was working, that's a sweet sounding little car you have there. |
It sounds like what? Where? Did you say something? my car, loud?
 Thanks, and good run at 51.47. |
Brian lets paint that focker already. I am off work the 14-18 of Oct. Give me a call. 301-751-9108

Thnak you very much for your offer.
I'd love to, but I have about 1-2 months worth of work to do to it before it gets paint. There are lots of little things I need/want to do first. Here is a list: 1) Attach new hood so it flips forward like a 1st gen. 2) Attach front air dam (build light weight frame to attach fiberglass dam to). Install driving lights, brake cooling ducts and spliter. 3) smooth off rear bumper mounts 4) remove rear fenders, finish inner wheel wells (to keep rocks from hitting underside of glass fenders) and permenatly bond rear fenders on and blend in. Remove upper cap strip and smooth top of rear fenders. 5) Remove EVERYTHING from body shell. 6) build rotissire (sp?) to allow car to be turned over to paint the bottom uuuummmm. I think that's it :( "IF" I have time, I want to build a light weight set of doors (door skins on aluminum tube frame) and paint to match the stock set so I can use them for racing....AND design a new front suspension (coil over, double a-arm https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR ) I better get cranking.... |
Well that is quite the project ya have there Brian. If you want some help with paint in the future then I would love to help.
|
I'll try to come up with a schedule to orginize the project and I'll post it. Right now, I'm working on cleaning out the garage and getting the truck project out of there to give me more room.
I will need some help to put the cab back on the truck and get it out of there. I've got the hoist and one other person, but a couple more helps. Let me see how much I get done this weekend... Thanks |
