im planing on buying the wolf for my car and i wonder if anyone used it yet ? or knows how good is it ?

a wolf 3d? yes i currently run a vers 4.0 and have used a vers 3.1. i loved them both but the wolf 3d 4.0 is very detailed and there is no tech support of any kind from austrailia and chris green is a jag who doesnt return phone calls . thankfully im good freinds with one of the best wolf tuners in the mid west.



anyways ya great rotary computer, though there are better but your goin to have to spend a **** load to get the other ones.

about power fc ,haltec and microtec?

dont know about a power fc, i didnt care for haltec as i had to help a freind out with one and couldnt get the proper timing with it, as for microtech, i hated that thing all the way from the wiring to the internal ignitor that fried to the programing , it was a x modle the lts may be diffenrt. i used a elecromotive tech 2, i loved that one. as for aem ems, well leave that one for hondas and piston power as from what im told it cannot run sequencial injectors or trailing timing at all. though i may be wrong with that info but that is what was told by a local tuner when he tried to sell me one.

I ran a wolf for 2 1/2 years on two different motors and a couple different ignition setups, the last of which was a re with a to4r. I also had the wolf controlling a nitrous solenoid that was kicked on (and off)once several perimiters were met (or broken) (ie engine temp, throttle position, time from start, intake temp, ect) the wolf also instintaniously switched maps to a nitrous map that was on the memory cartridge.



I did all the tuning myself and also tuned another couple cars, i've had nothing but good experiences with the ecu. But also like fc3s said, tech support is limited to the forums, and one guy returning thousands of emails and he is based in australia. chris will only return or answer your phone calls if he has something to benifit from it.

chris greene is just pissed off cause we can get the wolf for alot less out of australia and the suport with the shops over there is way better. only down side to that is the phone calls aint cheep and the times you need to call are odd lol. and there always on holiday,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wich reminds me i need a vacation!!!!!!!!
