I made some fuel rails, and I want to test them for leaks before I install them. I was thinking about running some pressurized water through them with the injectors installed. Will a few minutes of contact with water ruin the injectors?

I wouldn't think so. After you try that just blow some compressed air on them to get off any water.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I was just checking to see if there were some oddball properties of injectors that I never heard of. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

um i guess water could rust the internals of the injectors open/closed but if you put like wd40 thru it after i dont see that there would be a problem

Well he said test for leaks without installing. So unless he's a real handy guy I doubt they will be spraying the water...so no need to worry about rust.
