have you heard of these guys? are they any good? and what do you think? Reason I ask is because I am thinking about getting it for my N/A.

Yes, I've heard of them. Codeblue and Codeblue2 has one in their FB, ask them about it. But, for the $2495.99 pricetag, I'd go with a turbo swap, do some porting, and have some cash left over to do whatever.

My cousin has one on his RX-4. It's pretty impressive, and was very easy to set up. Quite pricey, though. If you have the skill, I'd go with a turbo.

And FYI, the Codeblues' car has a turbo now.

HA i just looked at how much they claim a T2 swap is and they say a t2 ecu and harness are 450-600 dollars used!!! a t2 swap is going to be cheaper and better in the long run. unless you really know what you are doing. IE road racing specific, or with a ported motor, new ecu, etc...

SC's are good its just that in most peoples cases the t2 swap will make the most sense.

i just helped a friend of mine install a 9 inch camden supercharger kit on his s5 vert, and its awesome. it will outrun his TII easily, and unlike turbos, the supercharger has no lag. he can easily change the pulley and raise the boost to improve power greatly, and still not lag like a turbo.

kidouninja 12-13-2006 05:03 PM

Yeah I am debating right now. I am an open minded person. Turbo or Super charge. it just depends on what is thrown my way. I have been looking for TII swaps and they have been quite pricey from what I have found. 1500 for just engine and trans(not including shipping). So it just depends on if a good deal comes my way. Thanks for your guys advice.

Seriously Turbo lag has not been around since the 1980's, the exception is huge fans like the GT42R but even those are full boosting by 4000 grand. I just got my turbo FB back from the tuner and it hit 232 to the wheels at 7 psi, Camdens 7 pulley makes 176 horsepower at 7 psi, huh, not a tough choice for me, ask them how you plumb in an intercooler?, or how quickly they heat soak, They do sound awesome on the dyno.

z-beater 02-03-2007 10:13 AM

You won't experience lag unless you run a turbo that is my size. I do not need to go into this too deeply, but the camden chargers, but simply put the are not optimal for the rotary. I am not saying that superdchargers are not a good piece of equipment, just roots type.

Also changing the pulleys and belt and raise the boost is a lot of work, I can raise the boost in my car with my profec B takes about 3 seconds.
