Think of it as running 3 starters with 2 batteries.
Constant flow, not proprortional to engine speed. Sort of like nitrous, only more complicated. http://208.62.166.66:82/guest/pics/M...percharger.jpg For those who like doing it the hard way. |

what about the extra weight of the batteries to poewr it?
Just get a bigger alternator. Mark |
And a second battery.
And some heavy duty control circuits & relays. And some custom blow-off control. And some bypass piping & valving for normal driving. And some fuel system mods. Etc.. That's why it didn't sell. |

Their charger is different. http://www.turbodyne.com/ They use to market an electric blower known as a TurboPac. Honeywell purchased the rights to the patent, but never manufactured. Turbodyne had to sue Honeywell to regain control of their product. By then the damage was done. |
i heard theses are only for short burts like nitrous

Like I said:

The patent image on Turbodyne's web site looks like it as a 1/4 maybe 1/2 HP electric drive motor - pretty lame..

it is sorta interesting, what if you combined it with nitrus, so you get nitrus w/ 6psi of boost at the push of a button...... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif
|
it can't be that hard to install. it looks like they just run it b4 the aif flow sensor and dont' bypass it for normal driving. bigger injectors maybe...and an adapter to fit the compressor to the end of the intake. add batteries and hard core wiring.....i think its a pretty cool idea, simple in concept, complicated in application https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
