What the loudest legal exhaust system u can get 4 a series 4/5 13b?

I'm putting this engine in a mazda 808 (RX-3)

Would a 3" system with no mufflers work out ok?

:wow: I wanna give those V8 wankers here in OZ something to talk about. :wow:

GO ROTARIES!!!

Are you worried about emissions testing at all, or don't you have that down there?

My experience with Racing Beat exhausts tells me that if you are light on the gas pedal, a cop directly behind you will not notice the volume at all. It's when you stomp on it that it gets loud.

I'd assume most systems with presilencers to be similar in function. Straight pipes are LOUD! Hi-flow cats are even quieter than presilencer systems, but not as quiet as the stock cats.

The more power a system gives you, the more noise it will make. I suggest the Racing Beat systems because I know they are quiet under "normal" (not stomping on it) driving conditions.

Now if you normally run cats on the stock exhaust down there, they may SMELL your exhaust if you change to a non-cat system. I get complaints on mine all the time. I tell them to try and get in front of me if they dont like it.

I'd guess they're pretty easy going with the emissions and note while on the road, cos i see alot of SUV's blowing smoke everywhere and the cops don't care plus i've heard that the PAC PERFORMANCE "PACMAN" drag car is street legal - and that's a f@#king monster. but i dont know about the actual testing

to register and unregistered car over hear u need a road worthy certificate which entails among other stuff, an emissions and loudness test

but u can get a road worty cert piss easy over hear.

just as long as u dont take u rotary beast to a V8 lovers garage and try get one.

thanx heaps 4 the input

Just run a header from the engine straight and instead of running out the back, run it to the driverside, it will be loud, I know someone who is a little strange did this to get attention or something. When it idled, its wasn't too deafing, but any thing higher amounted to very very loud. I wouldn't do that if I were you though, its too loud. Its just funny thinking about....

Hi aussierx, wooffinn from sunny queensland here. What's loud??, jets are loud!! My series one Rx7 has 2 and a half inch extractors joining to 3 inch pipe with a single super turbo on the back. I have a couple of different 'quiet' mufflers at home to swap on if I need a noise reduction for the 'powers that be'. Just watch though with straight pipes if you have more than standard fuel flow going in, as when come off the power ,the flame shots can be very long. However they look VERY impressive at night and as a bonus, it lets the V8 dicks know how far you are in front of them so they have plenty of time to make up stories to tell their mates why they had the arse kicked by a rotary!!!! :tounge:
