to surpress intake charge temps for boosted motors...

anyone know anything bout this...

My understanding is that the water/methanol is sprayed onto the intercooler, and draws the heat out by evaporation.

my teacher said they used to make fuel out of water menthanol and benzyne (sp?) haha im not sure what that has to do with your topic but i thought it was cool and aparently that stuff causes like liver cancer

I dunno, by the sound of what Bill S has to say. All intercoolers do is cool down the air, other than that they're a bad idea - if you can cool the air some other way I would jump on it - especially when it has other avantages as WI apparently does.
