Looking for any help on installing a MSD 6a with MSD 2Step module. If someone knows of a better 2step module to use please suggest. I have a Turbo2 Coil that I would like to make apart of my FD's ignition. Any help on being able to make all 3 components work together in unison would be greatly appreciated. I'm using a PowerFC "non Pro version". Diagrams, pictures or instructions would be greatly appreciated...

I am running a pretty similar setup. What exactly are you looking for? Also what is a 2 step? Woundup7 knows a lot more about this. I will see if I can get him in here.

2step allows me to launch and leave the line with a certain amount of boost. I just need help on figuring out which wires go where for the t2 coil wired into a FD ignition using a msd 6a and adding on a msd 2step module or any other reccomended 2step box..

The orange and black output from the msd goes to the T2 coil, obiviously check for polarity on the coil. No other wires go on the coil just the msd ones. White wire from msd need to connect to the leading coil output from the FD Ignitor, you can intersect this right at the ignitor or at the harness end where it plugs into the leading coil. DO NOT LEAVE THE FD LEADING COIL PLUGED INTO THE COIL HARNESS. The small red wire from the msd can plug into the other wire on the coil harness. This is your key on, hot wire, it turns on the msd. Do not reverse these wires when hooking up the msd. USE a test light to insure you have the right wires. The ignitor wire is a negative switch. Use a continuty tester at the harness end and ignitor end to ensure you have the right wire on the ignitor.



Two step I have no idea about, sorry. BTW I am using a FD power FC on my 82 turbo swap, running an FD ignitor msd 6Al box and a T2 coil. It works great, pulls hard all the way to 8000k on 10 psi of boost. Cheaper and maybe a little better than the hks tower thing. Good Luck

I ended up buying a MSD SCI (Sport Compact Ignition) instead of a 6AL. Anyone know if this will work on a 3rd gen RX-7? A guy on RX7club told me he didn't think it works with Rotarys but couldn't say why.
