with all the bad news surfacing with regard to pineapple racing i'm surprised to see their engine in your plans... did you miss the thread about banzais motor?

tancred 01-17-2004 06:42 PM

I must have missed that, I cant get ahold of rotaryworks, no contact info on their site, and i heard atkins sucks a big one aswell, so suggestions.....

Im looking at the E11 i believe, instead of the e6x but we'll see which one i will end up using, my wiring harness burned pretty bad so i need a stand alone that will come with a pretty good new harness.

Once again, suggestions anyone?

i'd suggest steve kan or brian cain for the porting because they are both good with haltechs and that is important for the person who is building your motor

that haltech will come blank, you need someone with knowledge to get your car in motion

Pettit Racing. I just got my 13B-REW rebuilt by them and they are top notch.

ECU - I have a Motec M-4 and I am amazed at Mazdadrifters Wolf3D. It comes will all the bells and wistles as well as a hand controler. The software on the laptop is really easy to navigate and has 3d maps of everything. I would have saved myself a lot of money going that route.

Motec has cost me well over $4K and the wolf runs $1400 complete w/ sensors, everything.

i like my e11, however it wasnt easy to get it setup

jim i looked at the motec software and it looks like its got tons of features but it also looks hard to use/tune. it would be so nice if they had a graphical table of the important stuff (fuel, spark etc)

Jims5543 02-04-2004 11:55 AM

Motec has 3D Fuel and Ignition timing tables.

I prefer the numerical table. What I like about the Motec is the fact that I can look at my entire fuel and ignition timing on one page all at once. MY only problem w/ Motec is the $$. It cost a ton and I still dont have everything I would really like.

Wolf is the same way.
