Quick reccomendation to you, prior to welding.
Clean and degrease manifold as usual. Wash in tide or dawn and water. Dry Take a metal pan and pour in a layer of kitty litter/oil absorb and add manifold; cover completely with kitty litter and bake at 350ºF for 6 hours This will drive out any imbedded oils that will make TIG WELDING MISERABLE!!!!!!! Plus: Preheat to 250ºF before welding. Some of those castings are pretty gassy |
