Why would you install an FC oil cooler on an FD?
|
its a lot larger and you can mount it in the center because its long and stuff. works better.

Larger is usually better, but I would only caution that heat transfer tech between the two models may be different and the FD oil cooler could have higher fin density, better tube design, or one of a dozen other characteristics that would make up for size difference. Do real numbers exist for comparison or is this all subjective? |
FD oil cooler fins bend too easily. :(
|
Just get the 2nd r1 oil cooler.

actually the FC oil cooler is a better unit. You could possibly mount it behind your FMIC and in front of your condensor if you have a/c still... you'd have to make one hell of a ducting unit to make sure air flows properly and doesn't go around anything... home depot is your friend there. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR

Yep, seen an FC oil cooler on an FD...guy mounted it facing the ground, and between his FMIC and his radiator....pretty neat setup, but he also had the one d/s oil cooler

also...*waves magic Wand*...headed to Performance Mods.
