You could try getting a set of fans from an FD.

unfortunately working FD fans are hard to come by, just ask bacon!

Try a catalog like Summit or Jegs. Most of their equipment is for domestic cars(Ford, Chevy) but things like fans are fairly universal. You can spend anything like $50 to $150 and gain a lot. less parasitic draw from the engine by way of losing a belt- they're lighter too https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

They have a project 88 TII with an electric fan and shroud. Looks very sharp.

Hi rotroboy. Hey great idea. My best friend is also a mechanic like myself and he has a dyno in his workshop. His series 4 (or second generation( , we actually gained 4 hp from removing the factory fan and fitting an electric fan. It also ran about 12 degrees Cels. cooler. One word of advice though, some of the cheaper aftermarket fan kits only have a wire sensor which you jam under a radiator hose which leaked no matter how we tried to sealed it and looked bloody awful!!! Just check how they switch it on before you buy.Make sure it has a good shroud around it too! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...
