i'm going single turbo and i'd like to be as safe as possible. i understand how a pop off valve works and i understand that its only used to prvent over boost if the WG fails.

Is anyone using the greddy pop off valve?

i just want to know if its loud enough for me to hear, if i'm going WOT and the WG fails.

if you overboost, I'd be more concerned about the engine exploding versus the turbo overspooling. I had my wastegate line ran too close to my exhaust manifold one time and it blew my engine, but my turbo is still fine.



As far as pop off valves go, when they overboost, they vent like an open air wastegate, so you'll hear it, but then since it vented, it'll drop boost and close then you'll overboost again because it closed and it will open...so it'll sound like BRAP BRAP BRAP https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif
