Technically, yes, but I'll answer by saying, "good question". We've tossed the idea around quite a bit here w/ a friend of ours that has a Series 5 N/A. I'm fairly certain it won't work with the stock computer, however, so something would have to be done on that end of the spectrum. Otherwise, it'll make the engine breathe alot better so I don't see why not.

It wont work on a S5, even a bridge on the aux ports only. Quite simply, the ecu cant read nearly enough airflow. By the time the motor gets into its powerband, the AFM has already been maxed out. Time for me to step down to a SP...

BTW, the thing about brakes not working is no joke... Its aweful.

Hmmmm. I'm about to embark on a project for a friend that's part BP on an N/A ECU. Think I should not do it?

Depends how much you want to put into making it run right, but more importantly the year. S5's are NOT tolerant as the bp will max out the AFM, and that leaves no room for any tuning using a s-afc or anything like that. S4's AFM has a MUCH larger capacity for airflow, and should cope fine with metering the air accurately for a small BP. My aux bridge motor is being sold to someone with a S4, so once its in his car, Ill know a lot more about how the motor will act on a S4.

we've tested the s5 na and the gsl-se's afms. the s5 afm maxxes out around 7k rpms on a stockport motor with exhaust.

the gsl-se afm is maxxed out at 4500rpms with an exhaust.

s4 and gsl-se's might be made to work as you can adjust the afm for spring tension, wot, and where the afm door to mixture is. maybe it would work if you drilled a hole in the flapper itself? or used a t2 one?
