Just curious who's running what? How they like it? etc.
I did the home depot BOV on my old FD but I'd like to purchase one this time around. Anyone using a Turbo Smart BOV? If so, how do you like it? Also does it really flow the most air like they "claim"? |
I've got a Tail BOV and I'm happy. I didn't put a lot of effort in searching, Chuck from Rotary Extreme recommended it for my set-up and boost levels. It's worked great for me.
I hope this gets some responses, Im in the market for a BOV myself
I did secure a nice brand new Innovative Turbo Sytems wastegate though for a great deal. |
stock works just fine for me...
I never had a turbo on my car let alone a BOV https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...closedeyes.gif

I'm looking for one that isn't ricey loud.
I found a webpage years ago that had a graph showing which BOV's flowed better than stock. It was all based on a percentage ratio. I'll see if I can't find it again. Whos running in the 15lbs range and what BOV are you using? |
Greddy type R. Also the Tial is a good unit.
HKS
I'm running @ 15psi, I guess I should have said that...
I'm looking into Tial as well. Agent, any idea on the sound? I don't want to sound like a ricer driving around, but would like to be reminded it's working.
It's pretty quiet compared to the rest out on the market that I've heard. Mine is welded onto the outlet of my v mount IC and I can barely hear it when I let off with the windows up and the a/c on.
Sounds good to me. Edit: What would be great is if anyone happens to have a sound clip.
Maybe the next time I'm down towards B-ham, you can hear it. I don't have the ability to record a sound clip. I'm a tard...

Get the stock sti blow off valve or the super sequential bov my friend has a 1000hp supra with it and i love it
does the blow off valve go back into the air intake. if so can you take it off and let it free flow into engine bay, i think that is how mine is. really loud
Yeah thats the home depot (million other names for it too) mod.
i have a Tial also... i like it.
if you're looking for one that isn't ricey loud...
stay away from the turbosmart. i used to have one on my car, it is loud. i used to be able to hear it with the music blasting (guns and roses) after boosting lightly. |

bah the RFL makes you go insane after 5 minutes of riding in it.
the type-s is a piece of ****, i know a lot of people who have had problems, can't go wrong with the tial but its a bit quiet. the blitz i've heard leaks a little, the hkssqv is probably one of the most functional but i really dont like the one that sounds either. |
I have dual RFL's, they are fine.

I have dual RFL's, they are fine. I guess the question is, how loud is loud? I dont think I've ever heard one in person before. |
I've got a sound clip of my Tial BOV:
