I have just recently purchased this exhaust system and was wondering if it is a really simple task to install? Like reversing the car on to ramps would be good enough or do you need to get it higher? Just wondering if I should do it myself or take it to a local shop here in town.

Also has anyone else used this exhaust or know how it compares to the rest out there? Out of my research through most manufacturer sites it was either the GT Spec or the not-so-street-legal Greddy. I like race not that much of a genius when it comes to the mechanics of a car...

Its a matter of undoing the old cat-back from the cat undoing the hangers and putting the new one on in the same way you took it off. If you have sockets/wrenchs, i had to use an impact wrench on mine, but you can do it in one afternoon easily.

Rusty exhaust studs are fun, especially when they snap. THAT was one fun experience for both of us.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna see what Meineke of all places tells me for an estimate on the costs. Probably be too much for my tastes so I'll just end up pulling out the car ramps and backing my FD up onto em. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Then comes the downpipe.

A muffler job is way too damn easy if I of all people can do it. 2 bolts, grease up the rubber hanger mounts and twist until loose. Install the other one in reverse order. Catalytic converter was fun as well. You don't need a ton of ground clearance, just work safe when you lift your car.

Just to update you guys. My dad and I decided to do the exhaust ourselves. We just got the car jacked up to a good height and got to work on it. Everyone was right though, rusty bolts just aren't fun to work with. Luckily we didn't snap anything. Just WD-40 and the power of both of us turning the damn wrench. The hangers was probably the worst part since neither of us knew the trick to them but we got it done with a screwdriver. I definetely like the sound of the GT Spec exhaust. Nice ass low idle rumble. Although we couldnt get the silencer off and I guess there is some kind of trick to doing that. In all it's way better to do everything yourself. Good times and cost free. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Thanks for the advice.
