I heard about a new product from AEM the wide band O2 sensor I'm just wondering if anybody else has more info on how this works I have an air fuel gauge in my FD now but the needle bounces around like crazy I'm just wondering if this product is worth it really want to know if I'm running too rich or too lean. If it does work how do you get the readings. PC? Can someone help?

the bouncing around is normal, this is the ecu adjusting the mixture in closed loop mode. the aem wideband will be much more accurate than your normal o2 and should work with your gauge since it has a 0-1v output.

I have seen the AEM wideband kit on the market for some time now, but I have never gotten a definite answer on a question I had about it.
Can the AEM wideband unit only be used on a car equipped with an AEM EMS?? is there a display unit that is available to add to it? According to AEM's website it is intended to be used in conjuction with the EMS. But I have heard mixed info as to being able to use it on a car not equipped with an AEM EMS, like a stand alone wideband such as the FJO or something. |
You can use the AEM as a standalone. The display isnt available yet I dont think. I have the AEM and I just log the data with my Power FC Datalogit.
