But I saw a red Viper today and saw a Red 355 Ferrari the other day. Either which would of mopped me up pretty good.

I would worry about the Viper the most.

Oh here about the SRT10? it is the lightning Competition... 1 minor problem with it though..... YOU CAN BUY 2 LIGHTNINGS FOR THE PRICE OF 1 SRT10!!!! And it only beats the lightning by .3 in the 1/4 mile..... Man that sucks!!

Put a turbo on the Subaru.

Subaru = reliable. I don't want to change that equation in any way. If the motor does happen to go, though, can I swap the turbo motor into it? It's an '88 DL with the 1.6l, I think.

I don't think a viper can do 100+ mph in first gear. I would bet the 1 - 2 shift on a viper would be some where between 30 - 40 mph. Just like most other high performance cars.

I'd like to know how he'd get to 5th gear, which would be somewhere around 120-130, before the Viper even made it to 180 mph. I HATE it when people talk about a car beating them without going past "x" gear. It makes no sense.

Back when I was NA...I feared Preludes(don't laugh)...they were the only ricers who actually gave me real competition...besides GST eclipses..but I've beat about 4 of them and only 2 preludes...what can I say..a prelude has like 190 HP stock! I only had about 177 modified!

I've had some Preludes keep pretty close to me in my TII...I'd never laugh at fearing them.

Otherwise Vipers are plenty fast and I'd fear some of the old muscle cars.



The AAR Hemi Cuda would be REAL hard to keep up with if it had a skilled driver. Those cars are SCARY, too much power for the frame you can literally twist it. Same with the 69 Charger Daytona or 70 Superbird.
