A friend of mine has a RB30 In his Nissan Skyline R31 and the thing runs high temp and it doesn't make a difference at what time of the day or the temp outside.

We've gone through the basic things like a motor flush, radiator flush, new thermostat, new coolant, checked the water pump and that's fine, checked belts and there fine and still running high.

Just want to know if I've misses anything or if you guy's know any Forums that do with Skylines.

rad cap?...does it burn coolant?

Does it seem like it's running hot, or just the gauge? might be a fault in the gauge or sensor too?



I'd ask on Skylines Australia if I were you.

It doesn't drink any coolant and the reserve tank is always full.

O no, She's running hot from the gauge and from when you stop the bottom hose is hot as hell. We checked the temp in the radiator after opening it slowly and the temp is 91 degrees ( don't know what F that is). We haven't checked the radiator cap, but it doesn't leak and the radiator is always being full when we open it (hot or cold).

91 degrees is not abnormal by any means, coolant can exceed boiling temp, that's why they have pressure caps.
