The Michelins I got with the MPV when it was new were getting a little thin with almost 54k miles on 'em. If it was just me, I'd have run 'em for another 5k at least, but with the wife and kids in the car, I didn't want it skating on the interstate if it got wet. I had researched tires a while back, and still can't find anything bad about these Generals. Had the 215/60R17's put on yesterday. They look good. Gonna drive it today.

I put Generals on my last 2 Lexus and were very happy with them, I actually felt they out performed the tires they replaced, which were tires that cost almost 3 times what the Generals cost.

Yup. They seem to be a great value.

Took the family down to Hampton, VA on Friday evening to spend some time with Granny. We went fishing Saturday morning on the Buckroe Beach pier and caught a bunch of tiny perch and some small flounder. Good fun.

Oh, yeah. The tires. Drove about 200 mostly highway miles. They're smooth and quiet. Based on the tire rack ratings, which puts them 99% as good as the best tire in the high performance all-season tire category, I don't expect to be disappointed. If they last for 50k miles, I'll be ecstatic.

Update on the MPV-ES: This thing has been perfect. It now has about 54k miles and has never needed a repair. Even the original brakes are showing plenty of pad left. We will have had it 4 years in October. Wow, time flies!

I had Generals on my superduty as well, they lasted forever, had to change them because they got dryed out, not because they wore out.

I bought the Michelin Hydroedge on the benz, they are pretty fricken nice in heavy rain, never had them hydroplane, we'll see how they hold up. I've got 10,000 miles.

I have Generals on both of my cars and I absolutely love them.
