Anyone seen the new wrc focus? Lookin' pretty nice at www.fordrallyesport.com Looks like they might give Peugeot and Citroen a little more threat.

gotta love the non-functional scoop (hood may have functon but not the roof)

and either way its still a ford....and a focus....blah,too many ricers in my town have riced out focuses(sp?) i just dont like ford or hatchbacks, the only ford i would buy would be a jacked up bronco

how do those things have the suspension to ride so low but still make jumps?

rx7machine 03-28-2003 04:48 PM

If you ask me, I think it looks like a EVO VIII wannabe..

when they need to make jumps... they are on dirt and gravel courses...

the suspension setup is different from those compared to tarmac setup where they slam the car onto the ground and run low profile big wheels

that may be true......however the Focus is one of the best naturally rally oriented cars ever produced IMP. On low-traction surfaces and I must say getting the car into a drift doesn't take much more than a little throttle and brake input, it is so predictable and controlable its pretty ridiculous. Not to mention this year, as I suspected, Marko Martin is doing excellent and in the chase and pressuring the others. Did Citroen go AWD this year, from watching the car it looks like they did. Which is interesting considering they were FWD last year. Carlos and Colin have been tearing it up this year, Mitsu. is running in only select events, Subaru isn't doing too hot, and the 206s are right there with Citroen.

well the scoop in the hood in rally cars is used to get air to the drivers.
