so, my mom's 86 na rx-7 is biting the dust (weak ac, no radio, rough ride), so she decided to get a new car. i suggested mazda, naturally, and we found a new mazda 6 s, with 220 hp V6, power everything, CD, alloy rims, for only $19900. we got $1000 for "customer loyalty" since my mom currenly owned that 86, lol. so now she has two mazdas...maybe we'll stick the rotary in the 6, lol

oh yeah, i drove it, feels great, and looks AWESOME! real nice car, handles crisp, the brakes are a little touchy, but my TII brakes are worthless, so that's no comparison. lots of torque, and the manumatic is pretty cool, although a little slow in response. still, for $20K, one of the best cars i've ever been in

I just finished beating the snot out of the Mazda 6 all weekend in miami at the Mazda-rev-it-up schhol/race. Yes the tranny is very sluggish especially in a performance situation. The engine was o.k. - compared to a n/a fast compared to a well tuned TII slow.
I like the cars styling and for under 20K you cannot go wrong. My wife wants the Mazda 6 I am trying to convince her the RX-8 is the way to go. |
yeah, my mom agreed the styling of the rx-8 was much sexier, but the 6 is more convienient and more her speed, and cheeper

I didnt think you could get one with the V-6 for so cheap
|
the mazda 6 is a great car but we have seen alot of baro meter problems but that was mainly on the early edition cars i think mazda has done more quality control since then

i have driven my freind's mazda 6 and it was a very nice ride
