k https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif Anyway is that a good magazine?

DJ Rotor 08-19-2003 09:01 AM

It is actually a very good magazine. It's fairly new but started out pretty good and has gotten better. Why Mr. eraumazda saw fit to post a picture of three of them, I have NO idea.

Is that magazine as thick as Super Street or Sport Compact Car?They look a bit thin. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png Hey eraumazda why did you post that pic? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

MonsterMR2 09-03-2003 03:52 PM

Yeah, they look thin as hell, but; at least the cover car's look good.. And NO mag is better then Sport Compact Car. NONE.

DomLee 09-03-2003 03:59 PM

The content in the magazine, has become much better.

The magazine is still thin. It is roughly as thick as the current "Turbo" magazines (that is my rough estimate w/o knowing the actual number of pages).

It may be soon to come your probly right but whats the current best magazine.I agree on Sport Compact Car also its a great magazine and its allways pretty thick. The most hated magazine is Honda Tuning, thats a total piece of **** magazine. Its thin comes every 2 months instead of every month and its loaded with fucken CRXs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png Not that I care at all though. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

IMPORT TUNER, the ABSOLUTE WORST MAG EVER....

i like Modified and SCC

Fd3BOOST 09-10-2003 09:03 PM

I still say that Road & Track kills them all.

But I'll buy any mag with a RX7 in it. As a matter of fact that is the only time I'll buy a SCC, Turbo. Import Tuner, Modified, Super Street magazine.

Martin called it, If you guys didnt hear yet. RX Tuner rotary magazine will be available in November.

SCC is my personal fav too ive been subscribing for a few years now but this mag is on its way up my charts and has pretty decent drift coverage. i must have been in rome when that 350z issue came out with the make ur own carbon fiber cuz i think i would have remembered that

thats amazing, its will take over all my throne reading time though

Streetrally 09-11-2003 01:34 AM

I dunno, SCC caters too much into what people want to buy (i.e. Hondas running 12s [ooooo~ scary fast!]) or how to turbo your siliva. Silvia this, silvia that. But Modified mag is really cool because they always have at least 2-3 really good technical articles in each issue (i.e. EFI management, rotational mass, etc.) Not to mention in the past three issues that i've purchased, they've had 2 FDS, and 2 RX-3s, one of which had a 20B in it. Now that is just awesome. I HIGHLY reccomend everyone buy this magazine, great mag with great material and it beats the **** out of SCC (IMO). Sure its thin, but its about quality here, not quantity.

isamu 09-11-2003 06:04 AM

Hmm, I think modified mag has the best quality pictures out of all of them. They are very glossy and large.

OMG that's great I can't wait till it comes out, thanks for letting us know. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Import Tuner got old real quick. Nothing like reading about intake and exhaust on a civic month after month. And they're stingy with the best part: the max boost comic. People that do know their ass from a hole in the ground do tend to favor SCC. I'll check out modified. I'm assuming it has a website that I can check out. Thanks for the reccomendation.

Digisan 09-15-2003 08:23 PM

Modified is a great mag! I have four issues so far, and there have been two RX-7s and one RX-3 featured, good stuff! Funny, I thought about making a thread about that mag too, oh well. SCC is so-so, too ricer for me.

FiKsE l2X SeVeN Jr 09-16-2003 11:10 PM

one of the best magazines is the japanese magazines all about rx-7's, but there's one small problem...... it's all in japanese. Maxim's good too, they got a segment on cars and ofcourse the T&A

MonsterMR2 09-22-2003 03:13 PM

SCC is so-so, too ricer for me.

Yeah, I guess a magazine like Sport Compact Car, with technical articles that actually mean something, is "ricer". Or maybe it's the occasional 600,700,800PLUS HP. import's they feature, that could be considered "ricer". Or is it the straight from Japan track car's that dominate the street's AND track's of Japan, that they feature that make's the mag "ricer".

Yeah, every now and then they feature car's with crazy wack body kit's, and the usual trend ****, but who doesn't? That stuff appeal's to alot of people, and people pay for magazine's.

Modified mag is really cool because they always have at least 2-3 really good technical articles in each issue (i.e. EFI management, rotational mass, etc.
Are you serious? You bash SCC for featuring a buildup of a bargain S13, which TON'S of people are interested in, and then talk about how interesting tech articles on "rotational mass" are.. Beem me up Scotty.

i really like how they took the pictures, and they are very high quality. and in the import tuneer i have the car on the fron is an ugly civic with a blower that makes 209 hp..... but i guess the 800 whp supra in it makes up for that.

TYSON 09-25-2003 05:22 PM

If you remember this car, Project White Trash from the first few issues it is/was for sale. Looks like a piece of crap until you start it. Ran 10's on some REALLY shitty old street tires.

Fastrotaries 09-26-2003 10:51 PM

hey ERAUMAZDA aka Captain Obvious. why don't you post a pic a magazine of like Martha Stewart or something. What did you think that the barnes and noble in Daytona is that much more special? it's a chain dude, it's the same everywhere.

MonsterMR2 09-28-2003 08:03 PM

Option Two is cool, it's even better if you can read Japanese.
