Just out of curiosity, does anyone know of someone who has gotten a decent amount of power out of a MSP without voiding the warranty?

BTW, the new gunmetal color they have is BAD ASS!!!

I'm going to try and get a promotion at UPS, and if I get it, I'll be in the market for a new car next spring. It's on my list.

what is there to modify?

it is/was like the Type R.

You modify you lose HP.

It's turbocharged. You have to be able to make more power. Dammit, don't kill me here.

well common upgrades are.

Up the tubo pressure. Most likely need to do some sorta fuel cut.

upgrade the intercooler. I blieve it is already front mount. U may not need to unless u are running sick amounts of pressure.

i would say safc as well...

The latest TURBO Mag shows that they are going to do a project MSP. Power can very easily be gained. I have an '03 ES Protege...and that has sunk me into the protege world as well as the Rx7. I'll be getting an MSP someday too...just gotta pay down my ES a little more..

anyways..as for the upgrades:

Replace stock intercooler piping w/ larger aluminum pipes(stock has plastic pipes).

Larger FMIC, since the stock is actually a sidemount and is VERY small, smaller then a T2 IC in appearance...

Downpipe, exhaust

Injen makes a CAI setup

Turbo Mag is expecting 220-240HP w/ those kind of upgrades, and I'm sure they'll be some good turbo kits later and some more stuff out..its worth it, and the new '03.5 models look nicer I think, better wing and better front airdam..way sexier then a neon SRT!

My friend Mike had hard IC pipes custom made for his MSP. I wonder how that turned out.

Yeah, the intercoolers are pretty darn small, but a bigger one may give the stock turbo too much lag.

Stickers Yo! a whole lots of stickers cuz! Hey it works great on civics what is it 10hp per sticker https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

NO! seriously it's upgradable to a mild tune maybe 100HP nothing more. I am not saying that you can't add more than 100HP. You have to worry about the warranty, just save your money for the big set-up when warranty expires. Just for a mild tune either you can up the boost via boost controler a BOV and for the bang for the buck set-up go with the N2o just don't go crazy on the N2o maybe a 100 shot maximum. With this set - up you will be on a safe zone without blowing up anything and maybe a gain of 100+HP. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

I've had thoughts about this for awhile now. Only thing I've read is the tranny might not be able to handle HP/torque numbers in excess of stock.

But I am glad to hear Turbo mag. is going to be doing a project Speed Protege. Been waiting to see how they respond to mods for awhile now.
