I want!

As long as they get the weight way down below what the Charger and 300C weigh.

j9fd3s 02-15-2007 02:19 PM

yah, the originals were cool, kinda wanted one back when you could still get em for $2000

TYSON 02-15-2007 04:02 PM

There are already stroker kits available to take the SRT8 6.1L up to 426ci.

426 Hemi Cuda / Challenger, brand new car, sweeeet! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...nkeedance2.gif

It'll be a fat pig. Hell, a 4-door econobox these days weighs 3500 lbs. Nobody builds a light car--except Lotus.

TYSON 02-15-2007 09:29 PM

Yeah, but the LX cars are over 4100 lbs. The Mustang GT is about 3500lb, the GT500 3900lb. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

If they did 425hp and 3600lb, that would be pretty good these days. If the Camaro comes in at 3500lb or something, they would look like fools with the Challenger at 4000lb plus.

Considering how much weight there is in multiple airbags and other bolt in stuff, it would be pretty cool if designers of performance cars would make it easy to strip the interior and other heavy stuff in an hour. Pull everything out Friday night, track day Saturday or Sunday, put everything back in Sunday night.

TYSON 02-16-2007 08:36 PM

Next Evo looks pretty cool too.

3500lbs would be ok, nice if it was lgihter, but an original hemi cuda's gotta be at least 3500lbs too

TYSON 02-17-2007 11:07 PM

I saw them both in person again today, the Challenger looks nicer as a package I think, but the Camaro is smaller and would look just as good if they re-did the nose.

Exige S and Elise still looked better, but cost way more and wouldn't work too well in my budget. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

Yean I would buy one of them for sure although I would still keep the rota

Helios16v 03-09-2007 09:19 PM

I'm still having a hard time adjusting my mind that 3000lbs is a light car. My Jetta weighs in at 2600 w/ 3/4 of a tank of gas, and I still feel like it is a pig. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.gif

TYSON 03-09-2007 09:21 PM

That's cause Volkswagen thinks they did you a special favour if they gave you a motor with more than 100hp.

Helios16v 03-09-2007 09:26 PM

It'd be a lot better if it didn't have power windows (x4), power seats and AC. Those 3 items would shave off a significant amount of weight. The AC will be going away once I get around to rebuilding the motor.

Siwel 03-16-2007 11:16 AM

I like the new camaro, but the problem w/it is it's going to be like the 05 mustang. When it comes out everyone is gona go "oohhh ahhh" then after the first year there's going to be one on every corner and you will get tired of seeing them.

I'll stick to my 68'

rowtareh 03-17-2007 02:51 PM

If they stick to making them in limited numbers, then it would be a little bit better. I won't get worn out seeing them all over the place. That's if they even put it out.

TYSON 03-17-2007 03:00 PM

The Camaro and Challenger are a go, they are building machinery for the factories now.

defprun 04-11-2007 01:47 PM

I also went to that show Tyson...I was actually surprised at how big the Exige was...I was picturing something so much smaller :-/

inanimate_object 04-12-2007 04:13 AM

Well, deffy what's the craic! That's a bit strange that you said that, those things are small even by our standards.
