Went off roading today with some friends from work. I had barely any tread on my tires, and I did well.

The girl I went with from work has a 06 Liberty with the 3.7L and it did VERY well. I was really surprised, it was doing it's thing. Other person with us had a 90 wrangler with a 305 Chevy, 3" lift, and 33" tires. He went balls fast through a puddle that went up to HIS door, not my door, and got water into the intake. Thing immediately shut off, but we got it started back up. That V-8 sounds awesome in a Jeep!! He also had headers, and side body exit exhaust!! It was a nice rig.

And my Jeep is covered in mud. From top to bottom. It was alot of fun, be doing it again very shortly. Can't wait for camp jeep. I will have some pictures tomorrow. I could not see out my windows at all! Except for windshield. Hopefully buy an older wrangler and build it up to something really nice.

LOL. I had a good time, no pictures. Had to wash it. It STILL needs to be washed. Cleaning that soft top is a pain when the dirt is grounded into the top. Engine bay is still filthy though. Have to wait for a good rain and some better tires.

If I ever got the money I would build an offroad vehicle. I am not interested enough now to invest the money, but I think if I tried it I may like it.

I love my TJ too... it's more of a woods/trails jeep though. I'm not much into building a rock crawler or mud slinger... the rx7 keeps the funds too low for that.

Mine is stock right now, but I'm throwing the AEM brute force intake and throttle body spacer, 30" tires, brush guard, bushwacker flares and the upgraded sound bar...oh and snowboard rack...for the mountain trips.

What model you got One320b??? The air intake's are pretty neat. Sounds like a 4barrel carb every time you hit the gas.

I love the aftermarket for wranglers, it is pretty large!!

I've just got the Wrangler X 4.0L Kahki w/ sahara edition glove compartment and hard top. I didn't want a hardtop at first, but man..that thing rocks in the winter time and has half the noise the ragtop jeep i used to ride around in had.

I've heard good things about the intakes too..the only reason I'm going w/ the AEM is because it includes the TB spacer as part of its kit...

Sweet, I got an X model also w/ a 6-speed Benz trans. My joint is the Flame Red though, the best jeep color EVER!!! I am going to do a 3" lift once money comes around and pick up some better tires also.

I only like the hard top for mudding reasons. It is alot easier to clean off than the soft top. Mud gets dug into the soft top and is harder to get out. Plus getting mud into the velcro sucks also!

if your not actually going to use the mud tires in the mud- dont put them on, the ride sucks, the noise is terrible, and the gas mileage takes a beating as well.

Yea... I've got the 6spd benz tranny too...it's a little finicky though, my 5th gear is odd sometimes.. other than that, no complaints yet. I've had a '94 grand cherokee, a 2000 cherokee sport and now the wrangler
