I had 4 wheel drive while you were still in diapers, lol.

Did you try to use 4 wheel low yet?

I have a cast iron 4 speed and transfer case waiting to go in my Jeep if the transmission ever goes again but I dont think that will happen being as the guys did a good job rebuilding my 727 thats in there now.

vosko 12-06-2002 05:06 PM

umm. haven't needed 4 wheel low yet. 4wd high has been great. this thing has big off road tires on it right now. 4 wheel low is only for like https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i haven't spent a dime on it and runs better than my parents old van LOL

Rob x-7 12-06-2002 05:13 PM

That thing will outlast your 7, everything around it might break, but it will keep running

vosko 12-06-2002 05:23 PM

jay *turbovr6* said this is quite possibly the only thing even you cannot break :bigthumg:

Are you running the TF 727 to the Dana 300?

vosko 12-06-2002 05:30 PM

it looks like this truck will last a long time. if it doesn't oh well... a whopping $580 spent https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

but this is u were talking about, JK

phinsup 12-06-2002 05:31 PM

The 79 I had converted from a Quadratrac to a TH-400 with a Dana 20, the Dana 20 was a bastard sometimes to get into 4 low.

My dana 300 has never been an issue.

I have to be honest, i have no idea what kind of transfer case is in there now, I got a freshly rebuilt cast iron 4speed and transfer case when someone was moving and didnt want to take it with them, the thing weighs as much as a engine, lol

My jeep originally came with a 6cyl so now the only thing original in it are the front and rear.

phinsup 12-06-2002 05:36 PM

what year is it? 86?

Rob x-7 12-06-2002 05:38 PM

82 Laredo model, factory wide tires, wheel flares, you can see part of it in the post i made yesterday about BRRR SNOW

phinsup 12-06-2002 05:43 PM

Umm, no, I was just guessing since the TF 727 was only avail from 81 to 86. It's a Dana 300 if it's stock.

Rob x-7 12-06-2002 05:54 PM

whats the "umm no" part?

WRX-tacy 12-19-2002 11:47 AM

See, if you'd just get a Subaru (preferably the WRX), you wouldn't have to worry about manual locking hubs! Of course, doing anything to the engine is quite a task.

cosmo 01-02-2003 01:43 AM

did they get wrxs in the states

vosko 01-02-2003 01:49 AM

yes we have WRX's those are fun cars!!
