My uncle built a 70 dodge charger daytona with a built viper GTSR powertrain/brakes/suspension. Well I finally got a ride in it. Damn talk about the opposite of what I'm used to, Rx-7s. I'll get some pictures one of these days.

FikseRxSeven 05-03-2005 12:59 AM

wow, im surprised you didnt stay in one spot the whole time cuz of wheelspin. thats the torque of 4-5 rotaries

rowtareh 05-03-2005 01:50 AM

how the frick does that thing hook up! that sounds cool.

UniqueTII 05-03-2005 02:36 AM

I know a guy with a '69 Roadrunner that runs 10's on tires no wider than 255's. He offset the rear end a bit, but that's the only detail I could get out of him about it.

Triniwarrior31 05-03-2005 05:58 AM

Thats definetly awesome, can't wait for the pics.

treceb 05-03-2005 04:38 PM

CletusFD3S 05-03-2005 07:19 PM

toplessFC3Sman 05-03-2005 08:38 PM

This thread is useless without pics!

1Revvin7 05-03-2005 11:12 PM

It does not hook LOL. It left two patches down the local track, all the way from the starting line to the lights...

on those cars you can relocate the springs super easy to fit wide tires in the rear

UniqueTII 05-06-2005 08:58 AM

The tires weren't that wide, though.

thats a Daytona wing and was a factory option, not like someone made it on a table saw and bolted it up there. Was adjustable and functional- back when you raced cars in Nascar that were actually real showroom cars

Purposeful cars are usually not eye friendly. Honsetly I would rather see that done to a 68' R/T https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
