I thought I was pretty clever. Look above the tires and you can see the tie down strap I strung through and hooked to the grab handles. The tires stayed put even after some spirited driving w/ Mazdadrifter in his N/A on some twisty roads NW of Orlando.

In the car:

4 Rims/tires

1 Harbor freight floor jack

1 tool box (orange)

1 Tool briefcase w/ delicate tools Pyrometer etc..

1 Air Tank

1 Craftsman battery powered impact wrench

1 folding chair

1 cooler (on Front seat)

1 camber guage

1 Heineken case no beer just misc crap. Windex paper towels rags toque wrench socket set that would not fit in small tool box

Cool! A guy came into the office depot the other day with a red mini identical to yours. He bought this big ass chair, still in the box. I wasn't sure if it was going to fit, but sure enough it did. We talked a bit since I had my blue mini there, another cool mini guy i've met.

Ha! I thought for sure all the weight up high would really mess up the handling of the car it was hardly noticable.



Speaking of handling.



We took it out at driving school for the first session. We are running around the course and the car is nothing short of amazing it is rotating perfect slight oversteer it was amazing around the corners. The rear seemed to snap out just at the right moment then with a little throttle it would fall right back in line.



After the run we are carrying on about how the car rotated. My instructor has a Mini Cooper not an S and he was amazed.



Another student runs up to the car and says my back right tire is flat. It had 10 lbs in it. Faulty valve stem. We pumped it back up to 25 PSI and put a cap on real tight and it held.



The handling went to ****. It would no longer rotate as good and was now understeering making me have to take corners slower. FWD is tricky to learn. You have to react opposite from what you would do in FWD. Example - severe oversteer floor it and sterr where you want to go. Do that in a RWD car and you have a donut.



I still like racing a RWD car better the Mini is a nice break from my beast though.

I know what you mean about switching from RWD to FWD...it's tough to remember what you're supposed to do sometimes.
