Finally a car you can call your own

sweet7 12-13-2005 01:09 AM

Thats a hell of car, but IMO its just another monster twin-turbo Viper. Nothing new. I was hoping Hugh Heffner owned it or something.

rowtareh 12-13-2005 01:41 AM

Still a monster though. It handles well it seems, runs an 8, and gets about 3mpg. Haha. I just thought it was a powerhouse.

93 R1 12-13-2005 07:45 AM

He just did a twin turbo Gallardo. 680 rwhp at 7.5 psi.

CS Fd 12-13-2005 10:32 AM

Hennessey Performance has a twin-turbo Viper for sale on Ebay for $225,000. It claims 1000 hp and

1100 lb/ft of torque at the crank. Now that is a car.

Hennessey Viper

Check out the link.

IMO once you've seen one monster Viper you've seen 'em all. Thats why it was cool to see the one thats been build up for D1.

I have heard horror stories about the quality of Hennessey Vipers. If I had a Viper and the money to invest, I would go to Heffner.

1Revvin7 12-14-2005 12:14 AM

That 1100hp number must be a conservative number for the twins on pump gas, that or just some very modest tuning.

Then again anyone who wants that much power on the street has an self esteem issue.

boxrs4sale 12-15-2005 09:05 AM

just another chrysler product.

They seem to be doing SOMETHING right.

But the question is, how will the new Z06 affect Viper sales? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

I think the new Z06 is going to crush the viper. There's a difference in price. No difference in power though.

rotary510 12-20-2005 12:08 AM

meh

right, if every since you were a kid, you've loved vipers, you'll buy a viper if you ever have enough money. same for any car and anyone if they have the cash to do it.

1Revvin7 01-16-2006 04:15 PM

I think that z06 is also almost maxxed out from the factory. While just doing minor mods, such as rocker arms, cams, and deleting emssions gets you close to 750hp....

toplessFC3Sman 01-16-2006 08:00 PM

im not really sure how the neon-and-minivan-welded-together engine could support such numbers
