Yeah so the friend that had the Rx-8, just got a brand spanking new Black Sti. I guess I'm pretty much screwed those cars handle good and are fast in straight lane. I was wondering when is the break in period over. And by how much would I get my ass handed by him even from a roll, I mean they have 300 hp and weight doesnt really matter from a role right so he should slaughter me. Oh and btw I'm stock.

You bet your ass weight matters from a roll, you still have to accelerate whatever mass you have.

My friend has a 310 at the wheels WRX that I can at least keep up with in my FD. So if he's working 300 at the fly, you might beat him.

Is your fd stock though? And how fast was the roll?

just cause it has 300 hp doesn't mean its fast, they have a problem with a thing called turbo lag..its all high end power, from a roll, it would come down to the better driver probably, what do those weigh in at? 3300-3400 lbs? fd is what 2800lbs? 100lbs=10hp roughly, so your power to weight ration should be pretty close. and they handle alright..they understeer like a motherucker though...come out here and i'll show you a fast car in a straight line https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yeah, all stock, and it was from a launch then a 20 or 40 roll, I can't remember. Edit: Well, it was all stock.

thats whys i put roughly after that...of course, if you have a bike.....a extra 100lbs is a lot more.....same thing..if you have a 6000lb car....100lbs isn't going to mean ****.

320 whp =P We started from a launch and your dad beat me off the line cause of my stupidness of not knowing how to launch and then we did a 20 roll and lets just say ill honk next time =P But about the STi they might have turbo lag bad BUT if they can launch it while the turbo is spooled up the lag isnt half as bad..But I think it would be a close race AND it would come down to whose a better driver. But I think you have him cause he just got the car but beware when he learns to launch youll have to race him again =P

Yeah, but there's going to bashing going on for any car that doesn't have spinning triangles making its power. If every muscle head or Supra owner joined up just to defend their cars, this place would suck until Phins banned them all.

my friend got an STI too!!!! the doctor gave him some antibiotics and siad the lumps should go away in about 1.5 to 2 weeks...... poor guy.

Yeah, but you didn't join NoPistons to defend your car from rotary-enthusiasts. HeeroRaven did. He's a very good friend of mine, I just didn't want him to join up on a rotary forum because there's people who talk about, bash, or otherwise humiliate WRXs or STis.
