I'd go for the FD and just leave it stock for now. But as Amp said, you got to look at the insurance price.

for the price you're probably paying ...... get an fd and use the rest of the money to make sure that the car is working properly

Get a nice TII or the FD
second thing ur asking rx7 or corvette on a rx7 forum... sure the majority is going to say rx7. but think about it! its a freaking corvette. when i see a rx7 i say damn, but when i see a corvette https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif i have never driven a fd but i can guess it would be fun, but 2003 z06 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif it left me speechless get a z06 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif |
Is this a C5 or Z06? Regular C5 and Z06 are very different.
If its a C5 at the price of the 45k mile rebuilt FD, it probably has lots of miles...so either way you are in the same range of having to replace parts ( I guess?...) If it's a z06, its $$$, and you can get a much sweeter FD for that price (Single/low miles). |

When I see an Rx7, I try and remember the last time I saw one, and realise it's been a long while... :P |
the C5 would probably stand up to the abuse of a high school
kid better. you have nice parents to get you such dangerous cars for a 17 year old to be behind the wheel of https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png |

I'd go with the C5, but I'm a bit biased toward most any 'Vette. If your parents can afford to buy you a C5 and insure it when you're 17, I'm sure they can afford to buy you an FD a ways down the road to beat around in if you want. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Get a honda, drive it for 6 months, then get a vette or FD.
|
if you want better performance, go with the c5. If you want rarity and good performance, go with the FD
