any one know anything about these?? i found an 89 325i vert with 94000 miles for $5500. its white with blue. looks to be in pretty perfect condition. didnt talk to the owner though. the only prob is that its an automatic. the engine looked clean, its the bmw straight 6. the only strange thing that i noticed was that i didnt have to have the car on or hit the brake to put it into gear. anyways any opinions would be great as i have been thinking about selling the vert for $5500

they are decent but it will have some problems. you're prolly gonna need all the fuel hoses, the at tranny cooler lines, the radiator all the hoses, timing belt, water pump, thermostat housing, pads and rotors all the way around, rear upper shock mounts, front control arms, and its also gonna leak ps fluid. the actual engines are good, but everything bolted to it (including the car) is junk. imo the automatic really make the car feel slow.

ok ill have to drive it and see what work hes had done to it. thanks

yeah, he's prolly done some of that, and some of that might not be bad yet. german engineering is making you think a pile of junk is reliable

I hope you got the money for the repairs, not a cheap car to own

when they get old.

My Tempo doesn't require the brake in order to go into gear, that feature or lack there of a feature is kinda fun. LOL

you can thank dumb asses who dont know which gear is what

and un-intended acceleration for that feature on cars. Like

Audis in the late 80s.

i looked up the mazda clutch cut switch (the one that makes you push the clutch before you can start the car), and its the same one for every car mazda sells in the us, and only the us.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif mazda clutch cut switch!?!?! i always wondered why the clutch pedal had a switch on it.

You can certainly start my dads rx7 in gear (japanese car imported to england)

as for 325i's horrible car, dont buy one, me and my mate bought a 2 door for about $300 iver here, but it wasnt a convertible, they sell for more.

The only E30 i would touch would be the m3, or the even rarer m3 convertible
