hey fcrotornut and i have an opportunity to buy an na 92 300 for 800 bucks. its a 5 speed, and has a blown motor. we havent seen it yet but he said its white and has a great body and good interior. its all stock. we are gonna go look at it today. we are just planning on doing the motor and then selling it for a profit. what would be involved in swapping to a tt motor? i know the intake, motor and ecu but what else? any help would be great bc we need it! thanks

bah, not gonna happen now, would cost too much and we would end up losing money on it...

Wow, I was on a TT forum yesterday and this question had apparently been asked over 1600 times there. Now it's leaking here. Why?

Swap in something else instead. CA18DET, SR20DET, RB25DET, or even something non-Nissan. vee engines are evil, can't get at anything to work on them.

I always wondered why import people were limited on the 300zx/3000gt engines the "V" 6 cylinders..
i mean you have 3.0 of displacement, similar rpms resulting in similar CFM resulting in similar lbs/min resulting in an opportunity to spool a decent size turbo ect ect. i mean i guess Inline engines are more figured out and it's easier...but to a TRUE hot-rodder this wouldn't be an obstacle. v8 engines don't have glass ceiling wehn it comes to turboing, so why v6s? IMO that just points to the weakness of "tuners" nowadays. |
