will this retrofit to my 87 TII? don't I need this for my collection of "just in case" parts?

woundup7 12-05-2006 07:59 PM

Maybe. The difference is a S-4 map sensor has a 12volt positive lead going to it. I believe it powers the sensor. So it actually has 4 wires on the plug, 12 volt pos., 5 volt reference positive, 5 volt reference ground, and the return 5 volt positve signal line.

A s-5 uses only the 5 volts wires, so it only has three wires at the plug.

Dont worry though, I am going to sell all my S-5 turbo electronics, so you can upgrade!!! LOL
