I cant remember what the hood prop looks like. But would it be possible to just switch it to the other side? If you can send me a pic of what wont work i might be able to make the bracketry for you.

UBER RARE JDM LOLS, is there any way to swap around the stock one and make it work on the right side??

rmriggin 05-27-2006 07:47 PM

Ask CodeBlue how he swapped his hood prop to the right side.

kettlman 05-27-2006 11:51 PM

why would you want one on the right. if i remember right they connect to the hood and sits on the fender.

woundup7 05-27-2006 11:57 PM

The thing is I want two. One for each side, Mostly because my CF is a little vulnerable when its up in the air. Not so much the hood but the plastic frame underneath. So basically I want some extra support, one on each side. Also its uber rare JDM.LOL Spokane dude pm sent.

Thanks everyone.

he didnt, thats how all 79's are

Hyper4mance2k 05-28-2006 05:38 PM

Just get a regular one and twist it around...

KompressorLOgic 05-29-2006 03:42 AM

not all 79 have there prop on the right side, only early early 79's do

Jedi 05-29-2006 09:44 AM

Screw it. Fab your own. replace the stock one and add the new one.

Simple enough

nofxpunk_541 05-30-2006 02:26 PM

create something yourself, make it unique... make one the goes from like the center of the firewall to the center of the hood or something... be creative... just my 10 cents, i need to stop giving it away though, im going broke!!!

gregs 05-30-2006 08:02 PM

chris i once made a hood prop with a hatch strut, VERY sturdy and opend effortlessly, that was with just 1, you should make one with 2 struts

woundup7 05-31-2006 05:41 PM

I was thinking of doing something like that, if I cant find a 79 hood prop. I would be pretty cool to use an actuator on the hood and have it raise up.

Thanks for the ideas guys
