Don't go for a "pimped" out FD, seriously, probally needs to sell it fast cause it needs some work done.

find a nice stock one, or mostly stock and do your own thing, another thing both of those FDs may have 20,000$ worth of stuff in them, but they are not worth that much

actually the second one is owned by some one on here the owner is rx7jock who is at college atm if you have the money buy his car he takes care of that car like it is a baby and its built to the damn wall.

yea ive heard stories about not buying "pimped" out FDs.... i didnt want to say anything about either of them in case someone was on this forum who owned them... you cant judge a book by its cover so you cant really judge a car by what it looks like... id like to talk to this kid on this forum who owns the 2nd one i listed...

i totally understand that if you put 20k into a vehicle in parts chances are your wont get it back out...

i also want a car that i can drive and not constantly work on... that will be the only thing that will make me shy away from an RX7... i cant be working out my car when i work 7 days a week...

to be perfectly honest i dont think an fd fits your needs although some people do get away with using it as a daily driver most do not (and have other cars and use the fd as a weekend car).In regards to buying a "Pimped out fd". Maybe buying one mechanically "pimped" "may" not be the best idea.In regards to body kitted fd's if you like the bodykit then go for it. Bodywork is very expensive and actually cost generally more (per hour) than mechanical work. In fact the bodykit install/paint on the first fd is probably worth AT LEAST $5 grand probably more to be honest.(assuming it is a good quality molding/paint job, which is IMpossible to tell from a pic, you MUST look at the car up close!)

good luck with your purchases regardless https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

i think a near stockish (stock but with ALL the reliablility mods done) with possibly newer twins and engine may be your best bet https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

if you want a daily driver get an FB or an FC, drop some money on a TII swap and have power and reliability. if you are sold on an fd listen to what rotaryvillian had to say, look for one that is as close to stock as possible but has the reliability mods done.

if you come to the meeting ill give you a ride in my FB and im sure codeblue would give you a ride in the turbo car. you may decide you want an fb lol :P

I personally like Dean's and that is because it appears that a lot of thought went into the car mechanically and not just ascetically.

If it were me though I would buy Jenkin's TII. Since it is an S4 there are a lot of cheap options for upgrades, hell even if it were an s5 you could still put a pfc in it.

Sounds like you got some money to spend so I would recommend what Isaac said too. You can make more money go a lot further with an FB or FC and end up with typically better reliability, and the same power (if done right) as an FD.

If you get an FD just consider all the money you put into it as child support, because that is the type of attention FD's demand.
