First, I must admit I do sell these tires so consider the source, Second, I am really stoked about the tires I am going to rave about and thought some might want to know.



I have a 2nd Gen with the original 16" GTUs rims mounted for my daily driver. Goodyear Responce edge is sold as a Grand Touring high performance all Season. Has the Triple edge technology similar to their Assurance tries. (Very highly rated on Tire Rack) They also have the Carbon Fiber outer edge to keep them a little stiffer for 'spirited' driving when you want it. I have been happy with them this fall and in monster rain. Also sold a set to Troy for his convertible and he was amazed when he didn't hydroplane in a big puddle. I had a similar experience.



The real suprise is I come in from Covington and Kent East hill which has been a skating rink lately. Dropped the tire pressure to about 28 psi, put 2 cases of anti freeze over the rear axle, (ok not everyone has access to that but put some weight there) and drove carfully avoiding idiot 4x4 kids. It got squirrly a couple times but feather the clutch and throttle and it was very predictable and controllable. I didn't want to give up performance driving when the roads were clear or I would have put the Assurance tires on and I am certain they would have been even better on the packed snow and ice, but for the few rare times we see it, I wanted the response edge as a compromise.. but the ice handling was far beyond my expectation. I have some considerable driving experience in this stuff in many types of vehicles. (My 92 SVX was of course the best ever for this snotty stuff) I was having a good time with my race car getting around in this stuff.



Wouldn't want to try over the pass without chains on board, but I got the greatest looks from 4x4 SUVs off the side, on crappy tires, as my little rear wheel drive sports car trundled by their sorry butts! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif



Driving experience helps but patience and good tires are key. So there ya go.. North wet people, a choice I am glad I paid for.

speaking of snow tires, i just got some euro winter studded tires for my rx7, got them off craigs list for real cheap

I just threw on my drag slicks those worked friggin great!!

Heh, I saw those. Decided I wouldn't be using them enough to justify it, though.

well i got 4 tires for $75 so it was cheap enough for me to buy them.



and had my freind put them on some extra wheels for free. i can take them off and save them for many yrs!

We get a lot of snow out here in Spokane, So I got a set for Ashley car, and she drives it all the time in the snow with no problems.



Blue & Iotus are parked for the winter. Iotus is fun in the snow though
