bstrange99 04-22-2007 11:17 PM

It wasn't new. You'll soon learn that we rotary people don't usually buy stock parts new. If we're gonna spend money, it better come with a few more horsepower.

Yeah, Allen's our senior member. Not like the kind that's been a member the longest. More the "gets the discount at wendy's" kind of senior. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Hay I have 2 more years before that happens.

unleashed 04-30-2007 06:01 PM

wrong pump thanks any way the alternator bolt is diffrent

unleashed 05-01-2007 06:26 PM

its alive its alive finaly if any body needs a water pump shucks has a brand new for $45 not recon but brand new thk later

bstrange99 05-01-2007 08:11 PM

Good deal. Check the timing. I don't remember if I ever set it dead on or not. I think I just did it by ear.

unleashed 05-01-2007 09:26 PM

when you set the timming is it the first mark on the pulley or the second i set by ear once before and it did alot better but i dont thank its quite right yet . but i but a light on it theres no timming marks to set it so it could be right on i dont know. but it seems to be running better with this new pump so

bstrange99 05-02-2007 09:48 AM

You need to set both marks. First pull the dizzy and line up the mark on the gear with the mark on the shaft. Maki sure it stays lined up when you drop it back it. With the light on L1 sit it dead on with the first mark by rotating the dizzy. That's the leading, and has to be set first. Now put the light on T1 and set that to dead on with the second mark by loosening the two screws on the vac adv. on the dizzy, and sliding it in or out. Verify that the leading is still on, and you're all set.

It's not as complicated as it seems, but if you're not sure you can bring it by, or give me a call and I'll help ya.

unleashed 05-02-2007 09:51 AM

right on that helps alot thank you
